The department’s Children in Care service supports school and preschool leaders to deliver education to children in care (under guardianship of the Chief Executive) across South Australia.
As a part of Student Support Services and staffed by specialist education social workers, the service will provide case specific advice, work with schools and other agencies to promote the education of children in care.
