The department is providing this free seminar looking at ways educators can continue to support students within a school context. It also covers how to help families use skills and approaches from the internationally recognised Mental Health First Aid program.
The seminar will let participants reflect on their own practice and ways of coping. It does this in the context of the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) global pandemic, looking at:
- struggles, problems and challenges
- adaptive approaches
- mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.
Date: Friday, 10 July 2020
Time: 3.30 - 4.15pm
Register: via plink
Two accredited Youth Mental Health First Aid trainers will lead the online seminar. Both trainers have an extensive background in:
- mental health
- mental illness diagnosis
- treatment formulation
- respectful collaborative practice.
We’d appreciate if you could share this free online seminar with other educators in your school networks.
