The Behaviour Support toolkit is designed for staff in education, early childhood and care services. A printed copy of the toolkit has recently been distributed to each site and is also available on the departments intranet.

Click here to access the Behaviour Support toolkit (staff login required).

There are four videos showcasing how it is being used by schools, behaviour support coaches and learning centres.

The user friendly toolkit is designed to help educators and carers to support positive behaviour for children and young people.

The toolkit will help staff to:

  • identify behaviours of concern
  • assess the likely purpose of behaviour
  • understand the factors that may contribute to behaviour
  • work collaboratively with others to develop behaviour support plans
  • provide positive behaviour support
  • review and monitor interventions.
