National Child Protection week is an annual event. The National Association for Prevention of Child abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) theme this year is “Every child, in every community, deserves a fair go”.
During Child Protection week you can access free webinars on the NAPCAN website that look more deeply into the issues around this year’s theme. There is also an art activity for kids and posters you can download.
The Department for Education and Department for Child Protection have jointly organised a display in the foyer at 31 Flinders Street. The display showcases the:
- Joint Plan of Action
- Children in Care service
- School Retention team
- DCP Education champions
- Child protection award finalists.
There is an opportunity to interact with the display and pledge how you will contribute to providing a fair go for every child, in every community.
