SWISS have recently updated the safety and support plan (DOCX 390.6KB). The support plan can be used for:
- students presenting with self-harm or suicidal ideation
- social and emotional wellbeing concerns
- anxiety.
The support plan helps to:
- support students
- manage risk
- increase consistency
- help reduce the impact on others
- increase confidence in staff responding
- create clarity of roles
- document how the school is supporting students
- promote coping strategies and help seeking behaviours.
