National Volunteer Week 2022 will run from 16 to 22 May. This year we want to highlight how volunteering brings people together, builds communities and creates a better society for all.
There are many ways to celebrate and recognise the vital work that volunteers do in our schools, preschools and children’s centres across the week.
You could:
- order free thank you gifts from the department (keep cups, water bottles or stationery kits)
- host a morning or afternoon tea with your volunteers
- give Valued Volunteer certificates
- share stories and photos of your volunteers in action across your communications and social media. Use the hashtags #NVW2022 #BetterTogether
- attend a free online session to learn better ways to engage and manage volunteers.
Order your free volunteer thank you gifts by Monday 9 May to receive them in time for National Volunteer Week 2022.
Register for the free online plink training or for more ideas on how you can recognise your volunteers during National Volunteer week, visit the National Volunteer Week webpage.
