Youth Mental Health First Aid is being offered free of charge to all student wellbeing leaders and youth workers employed by the department in 2023.
The training empowers and equips educators with the knowledge, skills and confidence to assist young people at three key stages:
- when they might be developing a mental health problem
- when they are experiencing worsening of an existing mental health problem, and
- in a time of mental health crisis.
There are 2 components of the training to complete; an online self-paced session and one instructor led session.
Term1 and 2 sessions are available now, including one in Week 0. Register for Youth Mental Health First Aid training via Plink.
