Semester 2 Youth Mental Health First Aid training sessions NOW AVAILABLE!

We are pleased to announce five courses will be run from September to December 2020 including one in northern suburbs and one in the southern suburbs. Find out more here.

The course provides information and strategies to address:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Eating Disorders
  • Psychosis
  • Substance misuse

Student wellbeing leaders working with upper primary and secondary students are encouraged to take up this professional learning opportunity.

Cost: Free for student wellbeing leaders.

The YMHFA courses are facilitated by:

  • Adrian Booth -Clinical Psychologist MAPS, FCCLP, MASH

Adrian brings extensive experience and knowledge of working in mental health. He will offer practical strategies to enable educators to confidently respond to the needs of students experiencing mental health difficulties. 

  • Vincent Riviere – Bachelor Social Sciences (Youth Work), Master Social Work

Vincent has worked in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Wellbeing field for the past 12 years in a variety of acute clinical settings. He has also provided training and support for primary and secondary schools using the whole school approach.
